The United Nations designated 5 June as World
Environment Day to highlight that the protection and
health of the environment is a major issue, which affects
the well-being of peoples and economic development
throughout the world.
Children are the weakest link in society, so they must
be given the ultimate protection. 607 million young
children in the world are living without full legal
protection.
Worldwide, around 300 million children experience
violent discipline by their caregivers regularly. 250
million are punished by physical means and 9 million
girls were exposed to sexual violence every year.
Ipokrate is observing this day to support those children
and to say to offenders: children deserve to enjoy a
peaceful life and they have the right to, stop offending
children.
